We’d like to thank all of our guests who turned out to meet our guest, artist Peter Max last weekend. Attendance surpassed our expectations and past events, despite tornado warnings! A special thank you to Mr. Max and his whole team who made the evening so exciting.

The Geary Gallery Presents America’s Most Popular Living Artist this September

An impressive collection by artist legend, Peter Max’s exquisite paintings will be on exhibition and available for acquisition at the Geary Gallery in Darien, Connecticut this September. Max will be unveiling his extraordinary new Masters Series, interpretive works of Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, Pablo Picasso, Renoir, and Edgar Degas, conceived in Max’s signature style and colors. These works speak to both a maturation of the Artists’ illustrious career, as well as to his formidable training at the 130 year old Art Students League of New York.

Peter Max emerged as a powerful force in the Art World from the Art Students League, alongside such Artists as Robert Rauschenberg, Jackson Pollack, Cy Twombly and Norman Rockwell. The League was a formative influence on these artists' innovative artwork, and has led each and every one to greatness and an important legacy in history.

Exhibit previews begin on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Peter Max will be making two very special appearances at the Geary Gallery from Saturday, September 8th, 6pm - 9pm and Sunday, September 9th, 1pm - 4pm.
