Contemporary Realist Painter
MAKING “HERSTORY” as the first woman Ad Manager in the Harte Hanks’ newspaper chain, Louise B. Hafesh’s campaigns garnered national acclaim, besting The Washington Post and Boston Globe. Continuing that pioneering spirit, she went on to publish the first woman’s regional magazine, NJ Woman, and forged a 30-year career in journalism.
In 2001, following her heart and lifelong dream she began to study painting with several of the finest contemporary artists at Arcuri Atelier, Erwinna, PA; The Ridgewood Art Institute, NJ; The Art Students League, NYC and Grand Central Academy of Art, New York City.
Having received major industry recognition and awards, including a one-woman exhibit at Intermezzo Gallery/Bergen PAC, Englewood, NJ (2001) and exhibitions at the National Arts Club Gallery, New York, City, her work is in numerous private collections and foundations, has graced the cover of a Vivaldi CD (Venetian Dreams) and was the focus of a 5-page feature in TheArtist’s Magazine, among other magazine features.
Today, an award-winning, contemporary realist painter and occasional workshop instructor (Kaplan JCC and The Yard School of Art at Montclair Art Museum, in-studio), she is represented by Geary Galley – Darien, Connecticut; Jewel Spiegel Gallery – Englewood, NJ; Rich Timmons Fine Art Gallery – Doylestown, Pa. and Design Domaine Gallery – Spring Lake, NJ.
