A Darien native, Molly Kugler Dickinson attended the Rhode Island School of Design after graduation from Darien High School. At RISD, she studied Illustration, including a year of independent study abroad in Rome, Italy, as part of the European Honors Program. Several theatre classes at Brown sparked her interest in painting for the stage, resulting in a year of technical internship at the Yale School of Drama. She worked several years in Santa Fe, New Mexico, painting scenery for the Santa Fe Opera and New Mexico Repertory Theatre. Returning to Connecticut, she worked 8 years for Poster Conservation, Inc, as a paper conservator. She currently lives outside Newport, Rhode Island, with her husband and sons, where she is working as an independent artist.
