This March, the Geary Gallery of Darien is proud to present, “Appreciating Stillness,” featuring the meditative still lifes of New Canaan painter, Pam Ackley. Her exhibit runs March 1 – 30 at the Geary Gallery located at 576 Boston Post Road in Darien.
About the Featured Artist: Pam Ackley
Pam Ackley was born and raised in Greenwich Village, New York City.
She earned a BA in psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and an MA in clinical social work from New York University.
In 2006, she began her artistic journey by taking classes with various artists at Silvermine School of Art. She studied still life for eight years with Kirill Doron and figure/portraiture for two years with Hege Elisabeth Haugen (Florence Academy).
Blue By Pam Ackley
Ackley did a mentorship under Jesús Emmanuel Villarreal (Florence Academy) for 8 years.
She is co-founder and coordinator for the New Street Guild of Artists, is a member of the renowned Silvermine Guild of Artists as well as the Connecticut Women Artists.
Ackley’s exhibit runs March 1 – 30 and her paintings are available for acquisition. All are welcome and admission is free. To view some of her work, visit our online gallery.
